How to Launch your Instagram Campaign
14th December 2017
Ah Instagram, don’t ya just love it? As social media becomes an increasingly visual space, Instagram is one of the many places to be online alongside the other social media hangouts such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. But how does one get the ball rolling when it comes to an Instagram campaign?
Aside from setting up an account...obviously
Like with any social media strategy, planning is a natural and necessary first step. It’s time to clear the room, clear your brain, and have a long hard think about the content themes you’ll use on Instagram. Even before doing this, you’ve also got to carry out some pretty important research to know what your target market is going to want to see, and what type of content they’ll find valuable and have your content calendar schedule all planned and ready.
If you’re going to do it, you’ve got to do it right. Quality is always important, but perhaps even more so when it comes to images. They’ve got to be pristine, perfect, and very aesthetically pleasing. It’s also worth considering how your images are going to look together for a really pleasant Instagram page.
How do you expect to gain a steady following if you’re erratic and unpredictable with your posting? Although blowing your load as soon you launch might result in a wave of new followers, you’re really not doing yourself any favours for the long term. Furthermore, leaving big large gaps of time between uploads could result in a loss of followers and well, essentially make your account look kinda boring.
Sounds basic, but hashtags are great for getting your content seen. Do some research to find out which hashtags are popular and stick a few into every post here and there for an extra boost on your visibility (and brand awareness).
And last but certainly not least - start some conversations! You can’t just throw your content out into the void and expect the people to just come a-running. You’ve got to go searching for the followers, engage in relevant conversations, and essentially make some Instagram friends who will support your content by liking and engaging.
Get it? Got it? Good. Now you’re ready to master your Instagram campaign and really make your mark. Let us know if you’ve got any top tips for launching an Instagram campaign over on Twitter at @ContentCal_io
