How to @ mention in a post
@mentioning works a little differently for each social media channel. Here's how to @mention other social media accounts when publishing through ContentCal.
Note: If you duplicate a post containing an @ mention to a different social channel, your @ mention will not be retained. You will need to edit your duplicated post and amend the @ mention to be appropriate and correct for each of the social channels.
π Native mentioning
Note: Due to API restrictions, you will not be able to @ mention any personal Facebook profiles. You may @ mention Company Pages, only. We are additionally unable to support @ mentioning for Facebook Group posts which is also due to API limitations.
Begin typing the @handle of the page you want to tag in your post copy. Once you have entered a minimum of 4 characters, a dropdown menu will appear allowing you to select your chosen page.

βοΈ Manual mentioning
Simply include the @handle of the account you want to tag in the post copy. Unlike when @mentioning natively, you will not be presented with a dropdown menu.

Note: This feature is only available for Company Pages looking to tag other Company Pages. Due to API restrictions, Personal LinkedIn Profiles will not be able to add @ mentions to their LinkedIn content from within ContentCal, nor will Company Pages be able to tag Personal LinkedIn Profiles.
Type the full name of the page you want to tag in your post copy. Once you have entered the full company name, the page will appear on-screen for you to click and select.
How do I work out what the full company name is?
LinkedIn @ mentioning can get a little tricky if the name of the company contains multiple words. If you head to the Company Page on LinkedIn, and take note of the company name used in the URL, this will show you what you need to enter into ContentCal.
Here's an example
1. Head to the LinkedIn Company Page you'd like to tag in your post (for example - https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-coca-cola-company/)
2. Take note of the URL of the page. You can ignore the first part of the URL (https://www.linkedin.com/company/) as you'll just need this next part that contains the company name (the-coca-cola-company)
3. Enter your @ mention into your LinkedIn post by typing @ followed by the company name as it displays in the URL of the LinkedIn page. So on this occasion, you would enter @the-coca-cola-company
4. The Company Page will then pop-up on-screen for you to select.
